Fishy Eye

Can you guess how this shot was made?
And no I wasn't hanging by my feet from a hot airballoon.

Re: Fishy Eye
Ok got this technique out of a magazine. Easy to do too.
Shoot a 360 degree pano make sure the ends match.
then in PSE (I have 6 but I think same in 4/5) rotate 180, then resize your image to a square. You have to unclick constrain proportions. I used 4,000x4,000 pixels, don't make it too big your PC will not have enough ram.
Then go to filter-distort-polar coordinates. Click rectangular to polar then hit OK. Done.
Might need a bit of tidying up. I then cut a circle out of the square image and made the outside of it black. fish-eye???

Simon
Its strange, like Pius says, it will make a nice cd cover. On the other hand it could be very interesting if you practiced in the technique and when you do specific shoots...

Re: Fishy Eye
I was already going to that location and the scene looked right for this type of treatment. 7 shots, camera on manual and held vertical, 18mm lens.
The trick I use when shooting a pano handheld is I walk around my camera bag.
