EP1 + 14-42 + Fall in New York City

Shots taken around some parks in Staten Island. EP1 and the kit zoom for these.

I was shooting RAW+JPEG using the Pop Art filter. While I loved the look, I felt the perhaps (nah....) the Fall colors in the Pop Art shots were maybe a bit overdone. These were all developed in Lightroom. Only made some small adjustments to vibrance and contrast.

Opinions?

Thanks for looking,

I am a Windows guy (oooouch) and love it.... My son upgraded and asked me if I am interested taking over his Macbook at a very good price.....

I said yes but first he should try to get Apple to change the top part as it cracked and small pieces even broke off. Well they did and it looks nearly new new... Specs are

2,1G Hz, Due 2 Core plus 2G RAM plus DVD burner build in.

CS3 installed plus lightroom 2 (Hmmm)

Will I ever be able to switch over?

Having fun with LR 3 B.

This looked like a ordinary to boring shot, its shot in flat light, and needed some light to give it shine and modeling, I would use flash if I was to re-shoot. So lets give it a tweak in LR3 beta. I won't got through the settings I used because I just tried them all till it started to look nice. The main factor was fill light slider that made the most difference.

Before;

After; Hhhmmmmm, shiny!

Its a bit like Camera RAW but has a few more tweaks and one ...

The area I live in is called the Emmental and its known for its people, its cheese and its hilly landscape. It has many famers, cows and as you would expect unique cheese factories.

The above pic is a typical farmhouse in the Emmental and in the winter months the cows will be in a special space below the living areas.

Guys I like to gradually grow the site again. The look and feel will evolve and I already have a sort of template ready. The template is completely empty and now needs to be filled.
Few days back I started a discussion on DPR saying that I believe in a highly competitive market it could be a great benefit for the manufacturer who are willing....to offer its clients real upgrades over the product life cycle in the form of firmware upgrades.

Panasonic has started this concept I believe with their SLR, the L10, then the LX3 and currently the G1 and the GH1. Today I read they published a new upgrade with sigificant improvements plus additional functions.

I have been spending time researching different options with regards forum, blogs, public meeting rooms, facebook and many more. At the end the current service I use seems to be amongts the best out there and I will continue with them unless somebody can show me a better service...

That said I also considered starting a complete new forum and in the process give up the history we created....

Again not a good idea. That means I like to take the existing and re-design ...

What this is all about is, it seems that camera designers are not photogs (they must be of course but maybe they live in a different world) because there always seems to be a flaw with every compact camera, take the S90 no hot shoe! Yes not everyone is going to put a large flash on top, but they might want to add a flash trigger, or a viewfinder.

EP-1 has a little problem with focusing its a tad slow and no flash. Panasonic GF-1 why no IS. Leica X1 no viewfinder and the fixed lens still has ...

EOS 7D anyone thinking of trying this?

It looks much better than the 50D but is so much more expensive and I can't work out why?

Also the 40D is still in the canon range? Can't work that out?

These are terrific cameras but seem to be the same camera just at different prices, apart from little more in the way of ISO and MP and sucky video.

However I would be happy to use any of them and thought long and hard about a 40D when I was buying my first DSLR.

If someone has one please write ...
