I am a Windows guy (oooouch) and love it.... My son upgraded and asked me if I am interested taking over his Macbook at a very good price.....

I said yes but first he should try to get Apple to change the top part as it cracked and small pieces even broke off. Well they did and it looks nearly new new... Specs are

2,1G Hz, Due 2 Core plus 2G RAM plus DVD burner build in.

CS3 installed plus lightroom 2 (Hmmm)

Will I ever be able to switch over?

Best

Having fun with LR 3 B.

This looked like a ordinary to boring shot, its shot in flat light, and needed some light to give it shine and modeling, I would use flash if I was to re-shoot. So lets give it a tweak in LR3 beta. I won't got through the settings I used because I just tried them all till it started to look nice. The main factor was fill light slider that made the most difference.

Before;

After; Hhhmmmmm, shiny!

Its a bit like Camera RAW but has a few more tweaks and one ...

Hello Guys

Lightroom is something special I learned. As you know I have a school version of CS4 and over the months I really learned to like it a lot....also when I know I do not really use it to its best.

I played a little in front of the TV while the key candidates stated their reasons for getting the German vote in a few days....

I posted the original picture for your info plus I placed first the heavily edited copy of that picture. Interesting for your information.....the picture ...

Looking at different pictures presented on platforms like dpr, facebook, flikr and so much more I believe people are just editing too much.

Take for exampe HDR. HDR started because the dynamic range of the sensor was smaller than the real thing. Quickly HDR developed into something that battled to keep a natural look and feel.

Then things like no shadow detail, noise and so many other weaknesses of the lens, camera and other influenced the pic. Software plus plug-ins were developed ...

Read about this LR Plugin for making "blended" exposures. Not really HDR since the results look a bit more natural.

link to author's site: http://timothyarmes.com/lrenfuse.php

I took 5 images on the E30 using AE Bracketing, 5 exposures, no tripod - just the high speed exposure mode. Shoot in RAW and processed in LR 2.3

Second image is from original set - at 0 EV. First is the resulting after using the plugin.

So far I am very impressed,

Hi guys
I just changed my monitor for an Acer X213W 21.9 inch (1680X 1050). How can I calibrate it without spending a lot of dollars ? n fact I found that the colors are much cooler than my Viewsonic VP920b. Ther is no way of using software such as elements to change colors if your monitor is off.

Thanks

Hi

Photography never enjoyed such a good visibility as during the last few years I think. Shops are filled with new camera models, the 2nd hand shelves are full, in many families each of the family members own a digital camera and the magazine shelves are packed with magazines writing about photography.

Among all this the hobbyist has to decide on what software solution is best for his or her needs. I like to discuss this need, what do you think the "photographer's" software ...
