In Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, where there has been a fairly heavy Jewish population for years (and more recently a lot of Russian immigrants) they put up a very touching memorial to the Holocaust victims of WWII.

Spent some time there with the EP1 and the 40-150.

Comments welcome,

Steve

BTW - last shot was my first attempt at using the Multiple Exposure on the EP1. (Used it quite a bit on the E30.)

Walking around the Sheepshead Bay area of Brooklyn with the EP1, the 4/3 40-150 (on the adapter) and the TC 1.4 (for the first shot). Two are of Pete the Portraitist. The first one - well I just can't figure out.

Love this combination - the 40-150 balances very well with the EP1.

Even with the D700 you find limits and one has to fall back on technique. this was taken under Waterloo bridge at night as the book sellers were packing up very little light, just the bridge lights and from the NFT cinema behind me. Its soft I know but hand held at 300mm its ok. BTW no VR.

I guess this is edited but it was only levels and ACR profiles.

I think it counts a un-edited if it is just what you would do to make it viewable on the web. tell me if this is not un-edited.

ISO 200 at 1/50sec and f8 for depth of field. Shot on my ancient D70 with the amazing Tokina 11-16 at 11mm

My wife and I attended a concert at the PNC Bank Arts Center in NJ (Poco and Loggins & Messina). Policy is no "professional" cameras, so I figured I would take the EP1 with the 17mm attached (and the newer version of the 40-150 and the TC1.4 in my wife's handbag). Overall I was very happy with the results. We were sitting about 15 rows from the stage - a bit to the side. Most shots used both the 40-150 and the TC, ISO was generally at 3200 with Noise Filter OFF, Spot Metering, JPEGs ...

Went on our annual trek to Norwich, CT and then drove on to Newport, RI.

Took the EP1, 17mm, 14-42 zoom and 40-150 w/adapter.

Very happy with this light travel kit and extremely happy with the images.

All basically OOC JPEGs. (Saved RAWs for later comparison.)

Thanks for looking,

Few shots from an afternoon visit to the South Street Seaport, NYC.

Used the 40-150 (newer version) w/4/3 adapter for the performer pics and the 14-42 for the other two.

So far am very impressed with the camera - a dream to use.

Yes I would still like to get my little grubby hands on the 50-200 SWD lens, but I still get very impressed with the older version of the 40-150 f3.5-4.5. These were taken with the TC1.4 added and the quality is still great.

Below is a sunset picture my wife took with the Canon PS720is I bought her a while back.

Consider this to be a little gem (certainly for the price it was). OK, it is not an eyecatcher as model and it has all the shortcomings a small, two AA battery operated, P&S can have, but with manual functions and a lens coming close to our good old beloved G7 it performes extremely well.

AV: 4.5 - TV 1/200 - shot in P-mode with use of exposure lock to get exposure to her liking.

No PP.
