Guys I know what I like to say but.....

See I really like the new G11.....the price of the new S90 is very attractive, the LX3 istill available and my G1 will go to the market soon. I really like the Panny look and JPEG engine....Steve made me very curious about the EP-1....the pics comming of my E3 is awesome....I agree the G7 was one of the best and still is....we never needed more than 10MP plus I think the one from Sigma is also a great option......

Like I said...I think you ...

This weekend I did a wedding with only the G1 plus kit lens plus the FL36 flash from Oly. I edited the pics using Lightroom in JPEG.

The results is awesome and I have been pleasantly surprised at how user friendly the G1 design is. I used the G1 on full auto....basically did everything one would not expect from a wedding photographer....

Cameras surely made a huge progress, especially from the 1st digital camera.

I still not have internet at home.....hopefully by end this week....I ...

I guess that is a question every camera owner has to ask at some point, was it the best decision I made, am I happy with the performance of the camera, how does the reviews line up with my own experience, can or will I recommend it to my best friend?

Short Introduction

The LX3 is a specially made compact camera for the photographer. Contrary to the G10 from Canon, Panasonic decided to keep the sensor at 10MP and to optimise the camera is such a ...

The last week we were 8 people (family) together, almost all taking pictures. I was collecting them all and combined them all into one collection. The cameras used were:

Nikon D300

Canon 350D

Panasonic L10

Olympus E520

Compacts:- Olympus, Sony and Fuji. LX3, Canon

Working through them all I were totally stunned by the LX3 and the L10 in terms of sharpness, detail and color.

I like my Oly and am a happy camper, but the pictures comming of the L10 and the LX3 is just great.....

I discovered the HDR function....

Interesting that both the LX3 and the L10 have the Panasonic build in HDR function. I do not know about other Panasonic cameras.

This is a interesting function where the camera will take three differently exposed pictures at a step or bracket that the user can select.

When the three pics are taken then the camera will combine them into one high dynamic range picture.

What is the result....we I do not know....will have to test it.

Anyone with experience?

Best

Hi

Personally I think the ease of use is something really good about the LX3, for example the SCN modes I found work really well. I also like the punchy sharp and detailed pictures and then finally I think the different ratios one can set the lens on is a winner.

What do you like most?

Folks its been a long time since I enjoyed discovering a new camera as much I do this one. Panasonic did not only build a unique piece of engineering for the photographer they also build a powerful software capability into the new camera.

Maybe some of the software is not new to existing Panasonic owners, for me there is a lot of really interesting aspects, a huge dynamic range, excellent shadow detail, no burned out white walls, awesome blue skies and a lens to die for.
