The Greatest landscape shot of all time.
I thought I would post this shot and I hope NASA won't mind.
I was a small child when this shot was taken and I can just remember the excitement surrounding the Moon missions.
Forty years have passed since we went to the Moon, I hope we will go again in my lifetime.
Anyway Thank you USA your tax dollars were not wasted.
EARTHRISE 1/250 at f11

Taken by astronaut William Anders on Apollo 8
This is how it went.........
Borman: Oh my God! Look at that picture over there! Here's the Earth coming up. Wow, is that pretty.
Anders: Hey, don't take that, it's not scheduled.
Borman: (laughing) You got a color film, Jim?
Anders: Hand me that roll of color quick, will you...

Hi Simon
(1) You are very welcome. (for the American Tax Dollars that allowed this.)
(2) I also remember first seeing that photo and it was like "WOW!!!" also.
Thanks for memory,
Steve

Just remember while America was embarking on this epic undertaking, Britain gave the world the Mini-skirt, fair exchange I think?
