Grandma goes digital
Don't know if this post is under the right topic ....
My brother in law had the brilliant idea to buy my mother in law a digital camera for her birthday.
She does take pictures on a regular basis with the film P&S I bought her a number of years ago, so she is not fully unfamiliar with taking pictures, but still ...

In fact, have to correct the title, because she is already great grandmother.
So, before having to decide afterwards it was a mistake, I gave her my old IXUS 500 (Digital Elph S500) to play with for a while and quickly decided we should give it a go and buy her a digital P&S as I had the feeling she would not be really happy to return my old Ixus.
So now she is the proud owner of a pink/red (fuchsia) Ixus 95IS and she now entered the digital world. No need for too much manual functions, but feld the IS could be usefull
.
Just back from explaining her the main functions.
Don't have any yet, but will be happy to post some pictures she took as soon as I got some.
I still have my doubt if this was really a 'member's good idea'. Making her happy with the camera was, but she does not have a PC and she never worked on one ... and no doubt my brother in law will find the right excuses to send her to me to download and process the pictures she took ...
To be continued ...
