Photojournals

Post by josieann on Sat 2 May - 19:43:32

Since going digital and thereby churning out masses of images, I have really enjoyed assembling them into photojournals for each of my trips. I don't know whether anyone on the forum has tried the various offerings, but MyPublisher.com gives an excellent range of layouts and final printed books. If interested, here's one I just finished, which is something a bit different for Forum members shooting chalets and alps:

TOMFRA 2009; Lubbock, Texas

TOMFRA is the Texas Old Missions and Forts Restoration Association. On this year's annual trip we visited what we all thought would be the very flattest, most uninteresting place in Texas. Take a look at my photojournal to see what we found there.

I would welcome critiques of my work. Please don't hesitate to say how I can improve.

Hi Josieann

Excellent work, I love it. That is one of he best things digital brought us I believe. Never was it possible for the average photographer to put together a book of such high quality.

I will also give you some feedback based more on my personal style. I will add a little more text. For example the first page I read immediately because I like to know more.....

You could add text to every 2nd page to form a story line for example, that will keep the reader hooked....

Your last three pics looks like you were tired.....? The rabbit at the end is OK, but with a tag line or a greeting it would have finished the book. You could develop your own trademark using the rabit..or any other animal at the back of your books..:-)

Nevertheless a awesome try and something to be proud off....

Kindest Regards

Siegfried
