you don't even need a mirror it seems to bounce of your hand ok.

Well,

This is not my kind of photography but i will give it a try.
I took this picture with my Canon Powershot G9 and the new EX 270 speedlite (nice little thing, fits very well on a G9 and is a alternative for the "missing" internal flash on my EOS 5DmkII)

Yes, this is me sitting at my desk at home handholding the G9, trying to aim it at myself and a bit of the surroundings.

Picture is almost straight out of the camera, only converted form RAW to JPG, non edited.

Welcome in the gallery of famous portraits!!
Very nice portrait but watch your background...

That's a very fine piece of equipment, much more effective than using a Stofen omni-bounce.

Like the soft box, its on my list of gear to get. are you using a trigger system or a cable to the speedlight?
