Re: Coast protection Works - Poole UK
Hi Simon -
Thanks for your tips - Yes! some of these are clear to me but there are many, many more that aren't. Time is on my side though.
One thing I didn't mention in my previous post re. reasons to buy the D90 was the exceptional performance with High ISO settings, not mentioned because this has been well and widely documented.
Until now I have not owned a camera capable of clean images much above 400 ISO but Iwould like you to see and comment on the following.....
D90, Nikkor16-85mmVR lens. Hand held in my low light sitting room (nearly made the on-board flash redundant
)
At: 28mm - f5.6f - 1/40sec - ISO1600 - Aperture Priority.
My compliments...Vic

WOW! could be 200iso.
I have found that it is important to 'not' under-expose when using a Hi-iso where there are dark colours and dark areas,

Thanks Vic, Simon and the other guys...
What I did was to sell my L10, the E520 and a few loose bits and pieces I still had from the G7 and canon days.....
That was nearly enough to pay for a higher level of camera....
Obviously the D90, the 450D or the 50D and the new E30 or the E3 fell into the group of cams I evaluated....
I ended up getting the E30. I was tempted most by the D90 but my current line up of glass and other assecories prevented me to even look at the D90...
After stressing.....distroying my reputation and not knowing E3 or E30 I decided to get the E30.
I have no doubt that the D90 as the 450D are absolutely awesome cameras and look forward sharing great pics with you guys....
All the best

NS....Herman how is the GH1 doing?

Very nice shots with that new D90. Good choice I think. I could not live without my D200. I am afraid to pick up a D300 though as my wallet could not take the hit.
